SectorPrime is an online directory listing service. You get to register your local business and website link, with a text description - and you can do it all for free. Furthermore, we only carry complementary links, not competitive links.

Why SectorPrime is unique

There are a number of directory listing sites for local businesses, many utilising reciprocal links. However, we believe SectorPrime is genuinely unique.

There are two features of a good reciprocal link with your website:

  • The link to you should exist in a context which makes sense for your website. So, if you are a plumber in Oxfordshire, the link should be in the context of plumbers, or businesses in Oxfordshire. This increases your traffic, both directly and indirectly (because search engines recognise that the link to you makes sense, and so value that link more highly).
  • The link on your website shouldn't be leading your potential customers to your competitors.

Manually searching for reciprocal links can ensure this, but is extremely time consuming. A program which churns out thousands of reciprocal links is easily identified as non-contextual, and is therefore of low value. Most business listings can provide contextual links to you, but the link from you will lead to your competitors.

SectorPrime, however, simply achieves both features of good reciprocal links. How?

We split the business world into geographical regions and business sectors, e.g. Oxfordshire/Plumbing. Within each combination, there is just one listing. So, if you are a plumber in Oxfordshire:

  • The links to you exist in a context which makes sense for your website. We will link to you from a page of local businesses in Oxfordshire, and again from a page of plumbers, and again from a page which carries your description and is dedicated to your business.
  • The link on your website to us won't be leading to your competitors. SectorPrime will have no other links to Oxfordshire plumbers, either as listings, or through banner ads etc.

Hence we can ensure we only carry complementary links, not competitive links.

Placing a reciprocal link (free listing)

To list your site for free, your website must link to our homepage, as follows (or similar):

That way, the popularity of SectorPrime increases, and therefore so does likelihood of people finding your site. If your website is not linking to our homepage, then we may remove your listing and allow someone else to list in that location and business sector.

Paying a listing fee

Some businesses prefer not to use reciprocal links. In that case, you can still be listed, by paying a listing fee (providing, of course, that your site matches the criteria of being a relevant local business).

The payment is made securely via PayPal, with payment instructions sent by email after you have provided your listing details. The current fee is £5 per year.

Whichever listing method you choose, you will receive the same high-quality service from SectorPrime. We will never sell on your email address or spam you under any circumstances, and our links to you will only be complementary, not competitive - so why not list your site today?


Please note that we reserve the right to not include certain business sectors or businesses, and that your listing may be removed if someone contacts us with a complaint about the contents of your listing or website.
