The Self Catering, (Vacation Rental), Cottage of Ballieward Steading is only 1.5 miles from the highland town of Grantown on Spey, in the Cairngorm's National Park, Scottland. The Steading is a traditional Scottish stone-built cottage, converted from an old croft steading, and is adjacent to the owner's home. Set above Castle Grant and surrounded by fields and woodland (full of nesting birds in springtime), the property commands a marvelous outlook towards the Cromdale Hills.
There is off road parking for 2 cars, a sitting-out area and access to the owner's extensive gardens.
The Steading self-catering Cottage is an ideal base for walking/hiking, cycling/mountain biking, (stay here for the Grantown Triathlon in September), touring and skiing. Naturally in the Scottish Highlands there are plenty of whisky distilleries, impressive castles and fortified homes to visit. The Steading is also near the Strathspey Steam Railway and Cairngorm funicular. |
